SANYO SK-WQ3UK Grill, Oven and ToasterWe have been searching for a toaster which would cope with thick slices of toast. We used mini ovens for toast in Japan, and when we returned to the UK tried to find a similar product. The Sanyo was the third make of oven we tried. The other two were useless! This is BRILLIANT! However neither the promotional information or even the instruction manual do justice to its best features - making toast and heating croissant. The oven has a button specifically for making toast from fresh bread and another button for toast from frozen bread. Each button is pushed once for one slice and twice for more. In addition there is a control for adjusting the degree of browning. This is much easier to control than in a conventional toaster because you can see the bread clearly as it browns. There is another button for croissant. This switches the elements on for a predetermined time, and then waits for a pre-determined time with the elements off while the heat in the oven reaches the centre of the croissant. The result is perfection every time. We are very pleased with this purchase and are suprised that this oven is not more widely available.

The grill/oven/toaster comes provided with a very vague booklet but be assured, it does grill superbly, the oven works a treat and the toaster makes the best cheese on toast ever! I hate having to fire up the 'big' grill for a couple of slices of cheese on toast and this is ideal. It makes very crisp bacon and is perfect for small portions of the occasional frozen chips. It does all that my conventional grill does but at 'old fart' height! I look forward to having a bash at Yorkshire Puddings and roast potatoes as the heat range will be ideal. A good addition to a pensioner's kitchen, especially one with O.A.

Bought this to make toast from thick bread and rolls to replace a four slice toaster. What the product description doesn't say is that this unit has an automatic function for toast (fresh and frozen), croissants and pizza. This works superbly - rotate the knob to the level of toasting required and then touch the appropriate button. So it's very easy to use and the results are superb. Croissants are truly excellent - it even includes the standing time before the pinger goes off.Because you can see what is happening it's very easy to touch the cancel button when your toast is ready if you have set the browning knob too high. The grill pan or mesh is connected to the door so it slides out when you open the door making this very easy to use. The grill can be used to cook as well but we didn't buy it for that function so can't comment.Overall an excellent product which has transformed toasting in our house. Only down side is that we are now buying a lot of croissants!
